Oscar De La Hoya Retires from Boxing

Check out Oscar catching a flight out of Los Angeles International Airport (Apr. 14th) the same day he formally announced his retirement from professional boxing.

He’s still got that trademark smile!

But, you know it was a tough day for him.

In his words:

“I understand why athletes have such a hard time retiring,” Oscar De La Hoya said in his retirement speech Tuesday. “You always think you can do it one more time.”

Oscar won 10 titles in six weight classes, has been on a record 19 pay-per-view fights and has generated just shy of $700 million in pay-per-view revenue.

I think he’s done enough.

Good luck, Oscar!
