We caught Ashlee Simpson and a gal pal out doing the shopping/coffee thing in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.

The baby bump’s looking beautiful and it’s been reported that Ashlee and her Fall Out boy rocker hubby Pete Wentz are expecting a daughter on Oct. 31st.

Halloween!

An insider said, “When Pete heard he might have his baby on Halloween, he went nuts.  For a rocker like Pete, that would be just too perfect!”

Careful Pete, I had a buddy in that position and he and his wife were totally disappointed!

And, you can hardly blame them……..

The “Paps” got a hold of this video of Emmy Rossum, The Phantom of the Opera star, in Beverly Hills the other day.

She got her nails done at Nails Design and was very friendly with the paps!

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro  together in their new movie “Righteous Kill” which opens in Sept.

The Plot:

Two veteran New York City detectives (De Niro and Pacino) work to identify the possible connection between a recent murder and a case they believe they solved years ago; is there a serial killer on the loose, and did they perhaps put the wrong person behind bars?

In their other films together, “The Godfather” and “Heat” they barely shared a scene.

Hopefully,  there’ll be some good long scenes between these two great actors in this one!

Like the one they had in this little known indie film “Ice Cream”……

That’s David Duchovny and young co-star Madeleine Martin filming scenes for the popular TV show “Californication.”

David says the sex scenes in the show are more of a vehicle for the comedic nature of the show and their inclusion is not to shock the audience.

He assures everyone the sex scenes are not porn and that they’re not trying to turn anybody on.

Sounds like my ex!

David is also a producer and director on the show.

Oh, and he asks you not confuse his show with the wildly popular Animal show - Fowlifornication!

They’re not trying to turn anybody on either!

I think it’s working!

The gorgeous Selena Gomez has been busy lately.

First of all, she just had her 16th birthday!

Secondly,  she arrived for work in Hollywood Tuesday on the set of her Disney show “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

And, on Saturday she filmed a music video for her song “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know.”

Not only that,  the song is for the soundtrack for her new movie, “Another Cinderella Story.”

Wow, a television show, a music video and a movie!

Maybe her song should be called, “Tell Me Something I’m Not Doing!”

Keep it up Selena.

“The Paps” predicts you’re going to be huge!

That’s Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake dining out at Eva Longoria’s Beso restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old actress is currently preparing for the lead role in Die a Little. The film explores how the lives of a schoolteacher and her LAPD detective brother are turned upside down by a mysterious woman (Biel).

Die a Little is based on the novel by Megan Abbott. Although the book is set in the 1950s, the movie will take place in the present.

Beso is Spanish for kiss which is what they’ll be doing a lot of if Justin’s grandmother has her say.

Reports say, Grandma Sadie Bomar is ready for a down-home outdoor wedding!

Here’s what grandma had to say:

“I just want them to be happy. Justin should get married in his mother Lynne’s back yard in Tennessee. She has a big yard with beautiful flowers. I think it would be perfect.”

With all the lavish Hollywood weddings lately, down-home would be nice.

And, if they go that route “The Paps” has a suggestion…….
